Real-World Success Stories in Digestive Health Research

Irritable Bowel Disease

This is a non-interventional study, meaning it does not focus on a specific drug, but rather aims to gather information on the current treatment of IBD across clinics nationwide. The study is open to any patient with IBD who is beginning a new advanced therapy. Participants will complete response surveys every 6 to 18 months, depending on the timing of their regular clinic visits.

We have an upcoming study for patients currently struggling with Crohn’s Disease. If you feel that your current therapy isn’t meeting your needs, or if you’re interested in exploring alternative treatments beyond what’s currently available, please contact us for more information.

Ulcerative Colitis

Ulcerative colitis is a long-term inflammatory bowel disease that inflames the lining of the colon and rectum, causing bleeding, cramping, and urgent diarrhea that comes and goes in flares. It’s driven by an overactive immune response shaped by genetics and gut bacteria. Vitality Digestive Institute is developing an ulcerative colitis study in Houston, and patients can join our IBD Registry today.

Celiac Disease

Celiac disease is an autoimmune reaction to gluten that damages the small intestine, causing diarrhea, bloating, fatigue, and trouble absorbing nutrients. The only current treatment is a strict, lifelong gluten-free diet, since no medication has been approved yet. Vitality Digestive Institute is developing a celiac study in Houston for patients who want to take part.
